De seizoenvariatie van de klachten volgt de bloeiperiode van grassen, planten, bomen en onkruid:
Bomen bloeien vroeg in het jaar
De wilg en de hazelaar in februari-maart, de berk in april-mei.
Onkruid kan van april tot september klachten geven.
De bloeiperiode van grassen is meestal tussen half-mei en midden-september.
