Websites over keuzes in de zorg kunnen beter

Wie informatie zoekt over zorgaanbieders, stuit nu nog op ingewikkelde websites van deze aanbieders en dat bemoeilijkt de juiste keuze. Volgens promovenda Olga Damman van de Universiteit van Tilburg moet dat verbeteren.

Mensen willen wel zelf een nieuwe zorgaanbieder kiezen, maar worden niet wijzer op internet. Veel mensen schakelen daarom de hulp in van familie, vrienden en de huisarts.

Volgens Damman komt dit doordat er te veel informatie op zorgsites staat die niet interessant is voor de consument. Er wordt te moeilijke taal gebruikt en symbolen en getallen worden door elkaar gepresenteerd. Volgens Damman is het dan ook geen wonder dat mensen afhaken.

De sites moeten volgens haar aansluiten bij de belevingswereld van de consument. "Anders schiet keuze-informatie zijn doel voorbij."
